  • 25 lbs 2-Row Brewers Malt (Organic);Briess

    2-Row Brewers Malt (Organic);Briess

Mild malty flavor. USDA Organic, 100% Organic. Characteristics & Applications: • Base malt for all beer styles • Smoother, less grainy flavor than 6-Row Brewers Malt. • Slightly higher yield than 6-Row Brewers Malt. • Slight lower protein than 6-Row Brewers Malt. • Produced from AMBA/BMBRI recommended 2-Row Malting Barley varieties.

  • 1 lbs Crystal 60;Great Western

    Crystal 60;Great Western

Similar to C40 but with a more extensive roasting to a target color of 60° ASBC. Has a more pronounced caramel flavor to coincide with the color.

  • 1 lbs Amber Malt;Bairds Malt

    Amber Malt;Bairds Malt

This material has a light, biscuity dry flavour and can be used to produce some Bitter and Mild Ales and sweet Stouts in the UK, as well as the traditional London Porters that have come back into favour recently. The flavour is quite intense and caution in the use of this material is required. The material is manufactured by roasting kilned malt - a Lager malt of good modification is best - progressively raising the temperature of the material from ambient to 150/160°C. Because there is no saccharification stage the non-enzymic browning reactions follow a different pattern, and the end products are nitrogen containing heterocycles of the pyrrole and pyrazine type, the pyrazines being mainly responsible for the bitterness.

  • 2 lbs Dark Brown Sugar

    Dark Brown Sugar

Imparts rich, sweet flavor. Use in Scottish ales, old ales and holiday beers.

  • 1 lbs Maple Syrup

    Maple Syrup

Imparts a dry, woodsy flavor if used in the boil. If beer is bottled with it, it gives it a smooth sweet, maple taste. Use in maple ales, pale ales, brown ales and porters.

  • 2 oz Summit™ -17.0 AA% whole; boiled 75 min

    Summit™

Super-high alpha hop with a low cohumulone content and a strong orange/tangerine citrus character.

  • 6 oz Centennial -10.0 AA% whole; boiled 20 min

    Centennial

Aromatic but acceptable for bittering. Medium aroma with floral and citrus tones. Good in medium to dark ales.

  • 2 oz Simcoe® -13.0 AA% whole; boiled 1 min

    Simcoe®

Used for aromatic, and especially bittering properties.

  • 1ea Whirlfloc Tablets (Irish moss) -(omitted from calculations)

    Whirlfloc Tablets (Irish moss)

Enhanced Irish Moss in convenient tablet form

  • 1/2tsp Wyeast Nutrient -(omitted from calculations)

    Wyeast Nutrient

Although wort is a good growth medium for yeast, additional Wyeast Nutrient will reduce lag time, improve yeast viability and provide consistent attenuation rates. Low assimilable nitrogen concentrations (FAN) of grape must or wort have long been known as a cause of sluggish or stuck fermentations. Wyeast yeast nutrient, a blend of vitamin B's, minerals, inorganic nitrogen (DAP), organic nitrogen (amino acids), zinc, phosphates and other trace elements will benefit yeast growth and carbohydrate uptake for a more rapid, complete fermentation. Use 1/4 tsp per pint for beer propagation, 1 tsp per 5 gallons for wine or beer fermentation or 1.5 oz per 10 barrels for beer fermentation.

  • Wyeast1056American Ale™

    Wyeast1056American Ale™

Used commercially for several classic American ales. This strain ferments dry, finishes soft, smooth and dean, and is very well balanced.
