Preparing materials
Hello translators!
Before translation begins, I am exploring a new method for distributing and updating the translation materials. Instead of splitting up the project into many small files the translation will be centralized so team members can assist each other and review each other's work. I have not decided if the translation site will be located on BeerTools.com or somewhere else such as Google Documents. I will keep you posted.
Thanks!

Document ready
Hello,
I have the translation document ready to go on Google Docs. Each of you will receive an invitation to share the document shortly. It is a spreadsheet that includes all the terms used in the main BeerTools Pro interface.
The layout is pretty simple and mostly self-explanatory. The typical workflow for each of you is to find a piece of text you want to translate, type the Portuguese translation in the Portuguese column, set the translator column to yourself and move on to the next one. The status column updates automatically. When a piece of text has been translated, it requires checking by one other translator before it is marked complete.
There are a couple special characters that appear in the English terms. The ampersand (&) is used to indicate the keyboard shortcut for menu items. For example, &Copy indicates "C" as the shortcut character while Cu&t indicates "T". Also, some phrases contain words such as $n, as in: "$n could not be opened." The $n gets replaced with a value when the phrase is displayed to the user. This means that $n must remain in the translated text.
If you have any questions please post them here. I encourage all of you to draw from each other's experience. And, most importantly, have fun! Do doubt all of you are looking forward to BeerTools Pro being available in your language.
Thank you for all of your help!

Hi, Jeff,
What is the situation with the translation?
I tried to access the spreadsheet at google docs again, but now there is only a summary of the number of terms handled. I see there are terms left to approve and complete but I don't see how to access the file again.
Best,
Ricardo
