Hello,
While doing belgians I`ve been trying to do Turbid mashes in Beertools without luck.
However, when looking for a workaround, the functionality seems to almost be there already.
A turbid mash schedule should be possible to do with "infusion", and one new function : runoff.
During a turbidmash some of the liquid is early in the mash drained into a second vessel. Infusions are then made to the mash to step up the temp, while the first portion is heated, and later then infused back to the mash, before mashout and sparge
Runoff would be a function simply for draining off the liquid from the mash, leaving the grain behind. (It would need to be possible to schedule infusions after it)
Maybe this could be made by modifying the flysparge function ?
Turbid mashes / run off function
Re: Turbid mashes / run off function
Can you provide a specific schedule of this type with temps and times?L wrote:Hello,
