Has anyone ordered from Puterbaugh Farms HOPS-Direct?
The prices seem really good.

RE: On line hop Ordering
James,
I have never placed an order with this company so I can't comment on any experiences. I have recently (last Thursday) placed an order from www.freshops.com for some 2008 crop whole leaf hops, and I should get them either today or tomorrow.
I order a half pound of these:
Chinook @ 13% AA
Centennial @ 9% AA
Magnum @ 14.2% AA
This is just a "try them out" order, just to try them out. I may be ordering more if I am satisfied with my purchase. The prices were fairly reasonable too. Much less expensive than around here!

Compare Prices
I am paying 20 dollars a pound compared to 32 dollars a pound from Freshops. I have bought from them a long time ago and they are the ones I got my rhizomes from but they too are now pricey.
freshops and hops direct
I've bought whole hop cones from both of these companies and always received quality hops and good service. I've never tried the Direct Hops pellets.

Just got the invoice
They soaked me for 12 bucks on shipping for two pounds of hops... talk about your handling fees... Oh well, I will re-bag them into one ounce packages and vacuum seal them so they should last me the rest of the year.

hopsdirect
Yeah, it's pretty hard to beat Hopsdirect's prices. You can get a lot of stuff for about $2/oz including shipping, right now, compared to the $3-5.50 at my local shop.
I got a decent deal on German Spalt through Northcountry malt, though. $1.65/oz including shipping. I haven't seen those prices for a few years.
