Don't worry he sanitized the bucket with 2-3 cups of bleach.

I've always found that drills don't really cut it for putting holes in those things.
I just rigged up a sharp piece of brass. sort of like a hole punch I suppose.

And did you notice that when he decided to stir the yeast back into the cider, it looks like he just grabbed it out of the bottom of the sink and briefly rinsed it with the faucet. He probably doesn't worry about contamination from the spoon because of all the residual chlorine in his bucket.
