how long can grains be stored

Post by cyto »

I was thinking of buying a 50# bag of Briess 2 row and crack it as I use it.

How long will this last?

What is the best storage method?

It will take me about a year to use it up.

Thanks

As long as you store your grain in an airtight bin it should last a year for you. You really want to make sure bugs can't get in and the lower the temp you store it the longer it will last.

Total agreement. Completely sealed and in a cool dry place, you should have no problem storing it for at least a year, maybe longer.
