Yeast for an Imperial Stout
Has anyone got any ideas for a yeast for an imperial stout? I was thinking about using Safale US-05 but wondered if anyone had any beter ideas.
Imperial Stout
It's not a style I have a lot of experience with, but I think US-05 would be an excellent choice. Maybe 2 packs in 5 gallons.
Another way to go would be WLP007, dry English Ale yeast, if you think you might want a bit of English character.

Def two packs for dry 11.5 gram for 5 gal. I'm in the middle of making a 4l starter for the RIS i'm brewing tomorrow.
US-05 or any cal ale yest is great for RIS, you could try the blue packet from saf-ale if you like more esters.
