Krups Kegerator refit
My daughter is thinking of getting a Krups Kegerator for her fiancé. From what I read you can only use Heineken 5 liter kegs. Does anyone know if it's possible to either refit the unit to use another 5-liter keg or is it easy to refill a Heineken keg with good beer, meaning ones homebrew?

Heineken Kegs
These kegs have the CO2 already in them, so they aren't easily re-used. You probably could figure out a way, but it would probably require some pretty creative plumbing.
There are some other brands you can get that use the same system and would probably work. I think Newcastle is one of them.
There's another one of these table top kegerators that uses CO2 cylinders and the standard 5L kegs, and is probably easier to adapt to homebrew.
