BTP1.5.3 - Shopping List not calculating ingredient totals

Post by Xipper »

I have a recipe that has multiple hop additions (typical). The real totals of each hop are:
- columbus 3oz
- mt hood 3 oz

However, if I open the shopping list it only lists 1oz of for each of the hops.

So, since I didn't realize this problem existed I now get to go shopping again. I would be even more upset if I didn't find out before brew day, I now just hope I can get time to get to the LBS before brewing.

Mark this is as a Royal PITA level of bug.

I can't reproduce this bug.

Did you save the recipe with the hop amounts you wanted?
Did you drag the recipe into the Planned Recipes area?

This will happen if you played around with the alpha acid of your hops.

I couldn't get that to happen, either.

In what way do you mean changing the % aa? When I changed the %aa from the recipe and saved "this copy only" or "to my inventory", the shopping list was still accurate after I re-saved the recipe.

My buddy had this problem when he had added hops to his recipe from his inventory and the db. Even though they had the same %aa I think BTP might give them a different identifier in the background.

He added recipe to shopping list then made more changes his whole list was screwed up.

Did you find resolution to this? Just started BT (1.5.3) and am experiencing the same problem. If there is a single hop addition of EKG (for example), it calculates fine. If I duplicate that hop addition (now 2 identical EKG additions), the second is not calculated.

Likewise, if I add a later EKG addition, it will count either the first or second (seems random so far).

Running on an intel macbook, if that matters...

Do you duplicate the hop in the recipe ingredient list (below) or in the "My Ingredients" list (above)?
