Ingredients Database Help

Post by ryhaynes »

I recently downloaded BeerTools Pro, but the Ingredients Database is empty. Do I have to add everything individually, or is there a way for me to download the database?

Double check that you are looking in the "Ingredients DB" and not "My Ingredients".

The database should have downloaded with the program.

Yep, I've checked both tabs, and I don't seem to have anything in the database...

I've tried reinstalling BTP and still no luck. Any thoughts on what I can do?

Since it's New Year's day, Jeff might be taking the day off, but you should start by Submitting a Ticket in the Support area. Just click on the Support button at the top of the BeerTools web page and follow the instructions.

Meanwhile, do you have a BeerTools Pro folder in your Documents (or My Documents in Windows) folder? Does it contain a BeerTools Pro Library file?

I see the the library file in My Documents (the RSD file, I assume), but I still can't see the ingredients in BTP. I tried rebuilding the database without much luck either.

I went ahead and created a support ticket, too, so thanks for your help!

Unfortunately, beyond the usual "restart the computer" and "reinstall the program" advice, I'm not much help with system issues.
