Why is it grayed out most of the time?

If I create a recipe, I can only save it to disc. I can't get it into the My Recipe database, unless I export to beer.xml then import (losing stuff along the way)

Would love an internal BTP search/DL of the recipes from the website. (or am I an idiot twice today?)

What is it CalDEV and the ivc files? Little export files that can be imported into Outlook and iCal.

Would be nice to have barcoding capabilities. Come home, and scan in all the fun stuff you bought and have it go into the ingredients on hand database. Typically barcoders send keystrokes, so it shouldn't require drivers or anything fancy (just a UPC field added in and a look-up). I have mine set up...

Any chance of getting BTP to use Applescript?
Could be nice to have it talk to Filemaker or excel, etc.
