First All Grain and need some advice
I've been brewing partials for a year or so and finally have all the equipment (15 gal keggle, cooler-mash tun, 50' counter flow chiller, and a few fermenting buckets/carboys). As a gift, I was given 10lb American 2-row, and a pound of crystal (40 I think, I'm not at home now). Any suggestions as to...

First time all grain brewing
So I finally have a full size keggle (13.5 gal boil capacity), my homemade mash tun made out of a cooler, a burner, and my fermenters. Now I would like to make my first batch of all grain and need some help. First, I would like to keep it simple on this one and do a full batch that is easy and relat...

Sweet taste bass ale
So I brewed a bass ale clone. Ingredients from a few different sources so no problem there. I can post them if you think it will help. Anyway, I used my same techniques and no chance of contamination. One week primary. 2.5 weeks secondary. Kegged and carbonated. Now tastes sweet and a little off. An...

Fermentation began again
I am brewing a stout for the first time. I followed the recipe very close and everything went well in terms of technique, readings sanitation, etc. Put it in the primary for 3 days as the directions said, then when the fermentation reduced way down, I racked it to the secondary (6.5 gal glass). Afte...

Thank you for the advice
I appreciate the suggestion. The reason why I am questioning my recipe is because it is just from another brewer apparently. I will be using malt in the boil. But the recipe calls for steeping the oats and wheat for 30 minutes then take out and add the DME/LME as usual to start the 60 min boil. Is w...

Cloudy Ale
My beers have been hazy lately. Any idea? I do mostly ales. Is there a technique I may be missing? Filtering? Adding a floculant?

Need help wit my Hoe
I am going to brew a new recipe for me, Hoegaarden Wit. I searched for recipes and found one that I think will work. Along with other ingredients, it calls for .5 lb cracked unmalted wheat, and .5 lb rolled (flaked) oats. I have the oats, and my homebrew store recommended flaked wheat instead of cra...

Bulk Ingredients
I am going to be purchasing some bulk ingredients. What are some ingredients that I may purchase in bulk that would be useful in many different recipes? I like amber ales, wheats, and IPA's. Any suggestions on typical malt types, hop types? Thanks!!!

Instructions
Ok, maybe I am over my head, But I have brewed a few batches partial and extract from kits and I am ready to move on. I like a bunch of the recipes here at beer tools, but here's a dumb question. My brewing lingo isn't all there yet...are there any instructions to these recipes?
