I use Wyeast 1945 from Northern Brewer, would love to see it in the list of yeasts.

I will work on putting it in myself, I haven't looked that hard but I am sure there is a way to do that.

I use first wort hopping for all of my bittering hop additions. I don't know if it calculates out differently but it would be nice to at least have some way other than the notes to denote first wort hopping.

I was wondering why when I changed the catagory of my recipe the Alcohol (%volume) changes as well.

I have just purchased some Maris Otter extract. This will be my first time brewing with it and am not sure what to expect. I am wondering how dark it is because Beer Tools does not list it as an option. I was taking the weight (8lb) and dividing by .75 to get a weight of 10.66 lb of grain. Not sure ...

If you are going to force carbonate it, you have an advantage in that you can volatilize some of the pumpkin aromatics. If not, let it condition for at least 3 weeks and it should smooth out. Thanks. I just racked my pumpkin ale into the secondary after 7 days, it had large dots (must be pumpkin pieces) along the sides at the top. It also had a bit of an off aroma.
