thanks for the help guys. i drank the first of my homebrew this weekend and shared with a friend tasted great buddy said so also. now gotta decide what to brew next. again thanks :lol:

when to rack to secondary

started first brew on monday now thursday, monday evening started bubbling tues and wed bubbled hard this morning almost nothing about 8pm still no action went ahead and racked to secondary og 47 now its 17 shortly after i racked it fermenting strong again did i do this right or was i premature. tas...

I was workin out a new recipe (im just startin) when doin it there is a sugar to aau ratio to get a balanced beer anyone got approx numbers where beer is not syrup and not terrible bitter. the recipe i was making the ratio was .51aau:1 sugar should the balance be closer? thanks :?:

I am just getting started i have an alum 6 gal pot would like to get away from wifes new stove and stay inside. was looking on ebay at turkey fryer and saw a 28 qt electric turkey fryer with drain spigot. has anyone tried these or have any pros and cons for me. it has a submersible heating elem that...
